Episode 5: The Tempest

We had some technical issues with recording this one, but we managed to salvage an episode out of it. You can listen to it Here.

As promised, we have pictures of the performance we went to, and links to sources you can look at.

The book that has the sheet music. It starts on page 20.

We had a great time with the Cromulent Shakespeare Company, if you have the chance to see them, please go. They're free, but do give them a little money; even Shakespeare needs to get paid.

  1. nice job guys! so where's the link to the sheet music?

    Here are my requests/ideas:
    - Twelfth Night
    - Hamlet
    - I'm going to stop the play requests there or this will get really boring and you'll get to them all eventually
    - An entire episode on Kenneth Branagh
    - something on the Reduced Shakespeare company (maybe not for a while though)
    - an episode on modern film adaptations like forbiddon planet, 10 things i hate about you, etc
(that was an exhaustive list by the way)(not)

That's all I can think of at the moment. Keep it up!

  2. I had missed the sheet music, but it's up now. We're definitely planning on doing all of the things you've mentioned: I think we're going to do the more technical/boring things before we get to stuff like the Reduced Shakespeare Company, though.

  3. I think we should at some point do an episode on prominent Shakespeare actors and directors, rather than focusing an entire podcast on one man, however Kenneth Branagh he may be. Or maybe split it into two episodes, one for actors and one for directors.
